$30 permit fee for 90 days placement (you have to move the letterbox
and pay a new permit fee for the new location every three months).
Crowder's Mountain State Park just confiscated a letterbox, so they
will check the sites and grab boxes. We've been discussing this on
the southeast list this week and the local caching groups have been
going round and round with these bureaucraps since geocaching started
four years ago.

Save your carvings and your travel money for friendlier parks.

What a shame! We visited several NC State Parks recently,
specifically because of letterboxing. We discovered some beautiful
sites we would not have seen otherwise. How shortsighted are the NC
State Parks regulations in this regard!
